Christmas 2009

This year was a little different for us. Instead of doing a big Christmas Eve dinner like we have done the past 13 Christmas. We decided to just lay back and relax. Cory had to work Christmas Eve, so the girls stayed up until he got home and we read the Story of Jesus and "The Night Before Christmas" They were all out by 9:00. Cory and I got every thing down stairs and around the tree, and then relaxed in front of the TV. This year we told the kids we wanted to do something a little different with Christmas. In stead of having Santa bring each of them something big, we wanted to give to another family. They were so excited about it, that they each picked out a gift for someone else. Even Christmas morning they were happy about it. Each of them got what they asked for, lucky for us they really only each wanted one thing. Tasha got her new bike, Haley got her new doll and Brinley got a Fancy Nancy purse. Cory went over board this year (it is a first for me). He got everything he wanted(thanks to him shopping) and I got every thing(but on missing purse) that I wanted. It was over by 10:00 and I was fine with that. The girls and I watch some Shirley Temple shows and dad took a nap. We then were able to go and visit Auntie Heather and Uncle Lyle.
As Cory and I were talking and looking back on our year, we realized how blessed we have really been this year. We kept our job, Haley has become a happy little girl again, Tasha has become a great reader and teacher to her sisters, and Brinley is POTTY TRAINED. I could not have asked for a better year. I am so thankful for my Father in Heaven and the love that he has for us.

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year.

Thanksgiving

Yesterday was a very nice day. The girls and I went up to Dave and Bev's for Dinner. The girls had fun playing with Syd, Maelle, Madison and Bradly. I enjoyed being able to spend time with the adults. Thank you for having us up, every thing was really nice.

I want to let you all know how thankful I am for my family and friends. You have all shown us so much love over the years. Thank You.

Brinley's Birthday

Brinley was born on October 27 2005. My baby is now 4 years old. So for her first party we thought we would do it on Halloween. We had alot of fun. We did just what she wanted to do. Pizza, a witch hat cake (Thank you Abby) gifts, the Nightmare Express train ride and trick or treating. Couldn't have been a better night. This was Brinleys first time going door to door, she wanted Cory to go with her. She was so cute saying trick or treat. She would come running up to me after ever door and tell me what she got, and that she wanted me to have it. So sweet but I am so not going to let my self do that. I can be good I think.

Gardners Village

Yesterday the girls and I went to Gardner's Village with the Gailey family. Her are a few of the pictures that we took. The kids had a great time petting the animals. Never new a pig and sheep would let you walk up to them and start petting them.

Time for Fall

The girls and I decorated the porch for the holidays. Now if the wind will not destroy it, it might look good for the next couple months.

New Glasses

Tashs and Haley both got new glasses this week. They both HATE to wear them, but I give it a few weeks and they will forget they have them. Okay I guess if I wore mine all the time that might help also.

Spending the day with Papa

Brinley had the chance today to spend most of it with Papa Boyer all by herself. For Brinley this was a very big deal. She called papa 2 or 3 times yesterday to make sure she was still coming. Then she walked around the house with her little cooler. She had to take food in it to Papa's. Of course papa took her out to eat, but the point was she was a big girl and had to take something. I asked her were she ate and she told me she didn't know, but that she got to go in papa's truck, and that it had a lot of stuff in it. While Brinley was with Papa I was able to go out with Nana for a grown up day. It was so nice and needed. We will miss Nana and Papa when they go back to St. George.

Poor Jade

We were able to dog sit Jade over the labor day weekend for Dave and Bev. We love having her and the girls love to LOVE her way to much. I have never seen a dog so happy to go home. I miss her sweet snore at night, and the way she feels on my feet under the desk. But I am SO happy to not have to tell the girls to LEAVE her alone. Thanks for letting us watch her.

Tasha tucked me in for bed

I have found the perfect hiding place. Holly leave me alone.

Can they see me? I got to take a nap!!!!

Haley's first day of School

Haley was cute yesterday morning as she told Cory that she was a little scared to go to school. Her biggest fear was not know who was in her class. By the end of the day she had a new school friend named Emma. She said she didn't like school, but was up at 5:30 this morning to take a bath(which she HATES to do) to go to a school that she hates. Today she told me that she likes school and has lots more friends.

Tasha lost a tooth

Tasha lost her first tooth last night. the best part was she was eating an Oreo when it happened. This morning she told me she no longer wanted to eat oreo's because she doesn't want any more teeth to fall out.

First day of school

Yesterday was the first day of school for Tasha. She is now a first grader and I can't believe how grown up she is. I never even wanted to cry when she went to Kindergarten, but yesterday I wanted to cry as I watched her walk around to the playground in the back of the school. I asked her how her day went, and she said other then getting bit by the girl who sits next to her she had a great day. She also said that she loves eating in the lunch room, it is so big and cool. Today seems to have gone a little better, so I just hope each day gets better for her.

The last day of summer 2009

So on Tuesday we went to spend the day with Bev and the girls. The kids all had so much fun. We had playdoh time, Maelle and Tasha played air hockey, Sydney got a home run on wii, they had fun riding bikes, Brinley enjoyed the animals as you can see. Foster is wishing she would go away, and Jade looks like she would rather be any were but having her picture taken on the phone. Then it was tramp time. Such a busy day. But we alwasy love spend time at Bev and Daves. Thanks for a great day.
